Facilitators

We are delighted to offer a variety of Umbanda works led by our experienced and dedicated facilitators.

Experienced facilitation is key

The facilitation of traditional Umbanda works by experienced practitioners is of the utmost importance as it ensures that participants receive accurate and authentic guidance on the spiritual practices and traditions of this Afro-Brazilian religion. Umbanda is a complex and nuanced faith, and it requires a deep understanding and knowledge to be able to facilitate works effectively and honoring the original roots of the tradition.

Our experienced facilitators Tânia, Carol and Marcelo have dedicated their lives to the study and practice of Umbanda. They have gained a wealth of knowledge and insight into the religion and its rituals, which they bring to their works. They have a deep understanding of the spiritual realm and are able to guide participants on their journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth.

As the main facilitator of our Umbanda church Céu das Artes, Rini has brought together a collective of experienced facilitators from Brazil, in the Netherlands, who provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore their spirituality: Our facilitators create an atmosphere that encourages you to open your heart and mind to the spiritual realm, which allows you to connect with the powerful forces of the universe. We believe that through the teachings of Umbanda, you can gain a deeper understanding of your unique place in the world, find inner peace and balance, and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Together, our facilitators offer a wide range of services to suit all levels of experience, and they are dedicated to helping you find your own spiritual path through the teachings of Umbanda. We invite you to join us on this journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth, and we look forward to welcoming you to our works.

Rini

Working and traveling in Africa and South America awakened Rini’s deep respect for indigenous cultures, life and the entire organism of living nature, of which we all are part. Adding to this, he considers himself extremely lucky to have found a deeper understanding of the inner beauty of life and our connectedness with ‘all’, thanks to powerful spiritual practices such as Umbanda and the people who have followed the teachings for many years.

There’s no doubt that much of his work is influenced by the impressions he has received from these wonderful people, his travels and experiences. His intention is to express a glimpse of this through the services, here at Céu das Artes, in the Netherlands, and bring it into your consciousness.

Tânia

Tânia has lived music since childhood and considers it to be her source of connection. She is a student of the path and a facilitator of soul-unfolding processes. As a naturologist and artist, she has been practicing her knowledge in various shows and personal development courses, using antropsophy, music, spirituality, pedagogy and therapy, for the past 15 years in Brazil – and since 2012 also abroad, e. g. here at Céu das Artes.

She has been receiving patients and staff from intensive care and chemotherapy departments as an artist at the hospital for 18 years now. She was initiated 26 years ago in different lines of spiritual studies (shamanism, Buddhism, etc.). The past 19 years she has been deepening psychic knowledge and the study of Umbanda.

Marcelo

Marcelo is the main coordinator of an Umbanda terreiro in Brazil, who takes the far travel from the Rainforest up on his shoulders once a year, to help our Céu das Artes community here in the Netherlands grow – and infuse our practices with his wisdom around ritual and traditional spiritual practice. His Umbanda terreiro is located in the hinterlands of Rio de Janeiro state: A place where people come together in community, ritual and song, where the power of music echoes through the space and ceremonies are safely guided by Marcelo.

We are honored not only to welcome Marcelo regularly as a skilled Umbandista, but also as a musical legend! Marcelo is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, plays in different bands, ranging from popular music, such as Latin and Rock, to more traditional music: the songs from the Africas in Brazil – playing flute, piccolo, clarinet, soprano sax and tenor sax.
