As a result, we are often fully booked with our regular base of practitioners. While we are very open to welcoming new people, we hope you understand that our capacity to do so is limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 11th<\/strong>, C\u00e9u das Artes will hold a gira as part of the anniversary weekend. In this traditional Umbanda ceremony, we open the space for the spirits to work \u2014 through song, rhythm, and ritual. The gira marks the start of the celebration and sets the tone for the anniversary day that follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 12th<\/strong>, C\u00e9u das Artes marks its 20th anniversary. For two decades, our church has brought the Umbanda tradition to the Netherlands \u2014 offering rituals, spiritual works, and community rooted in the Afro-Brazilian tradition. This milestone is a moment to reflect on the path traveled and the many who have been part of it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In late August, C\u00e9u das Artes offers a 5-day retreat in the peaceful surroundings near Giethoorn. This gathering brings together two powerful traditions: the spiritual depth of Umbanda and the transformative framework of Internal Family Systems (IFS). Through ritual, ceremony, and inner work, participants are invited to explore and integrate the different parts of themselves \u2014 supported by the wisdom of the Umbanda spirits and the structured compassion of IFS.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

This November, C\u00e9u das Artes returns to Portugal for a 7-day retreat. The location offers a spacious temple with views over the ocean, comfortable accommodations, a swimming pool and sauna, and proximity to the beach \u2014 an environment that supports deep immersion in the work. Building on last year’s gathering, this retreat brings together the Umbanda tradition through ritual, music, and song, holding space for both individual and collective transformation over seven days.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
